The Department of Anatomy and Neurosciences and the Marine Biomedical Institute at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) at Galveston is seeking PostDoctoral Candidates for positions in Neuroscience starting July 1, 1996.
The fields of investigation supported by a Training Grant from the NINDS include;
mechanisms of nociception and analgesia
neural control of locomotion in Aplysia neuronal regulation of oligodendrocyte progenitor cells sensory mechanisms in cuttlefish regulation of neuron survival by neurotrophic factors control of pituitary gonadotrophs and corticotrophs behavior of cephalopods spinal cord injury and repair neural control of eye movements in stingrays and primates molecular genetics of neuroendocrine control of reproduction in Aplysia characteristics of sexual pheromones in AplysiaStipend levels are at NIH levels and are in accordance with prior postdoctoral experience.
